First aid is the treatment given to someone who is hurt or sick right away, before professional medical help arrives. This includes knowing when something is an emergency, figuring out what to do, and doing what needs to be done to save a life, stop the condition from getting worse, and help the person get better. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), utilizing an automated external defibrillator (AED), managing choking, controlling bleeding, treating burns and fractures, and caring for people who are unconscious or sick are all important first aid abilities. First aid is important in schools, companies, homes, and public places because it makes them safer and helps people respond faster in an emergency. Accredited teachers who teach first aid help people feel more confident, competent, and ready to act quickly and save lives while they wait for professional medical help.
