Doon School admission
Located on the foothills of the Himalayas in the tranquil city of Dehradun stands The Doon School, a hallmark of academic distinction. Founded in 1935 by Satish Ranjan Das, The Doon School was intended to be India’s version of Eton and Harrow, and to cultivate an “aristocracy of service.” The all-boys boarding school for ages 12-18 enrolls approximately 500 boys from various socioeconomic backgrounds in its halls each academic year. The motto, “Knowledge Our Light,” speaks to the school’s educational commitment to both intellectual and personal development.
